Wild oats are a type of oat found in Xanth. They are commonly harvested by men for the purpose of growing nymphs.
Description[]
A cousin to sea oats, wild oats are considerably more hyperactive. They will fight being harvested, using their stems to attack whomever is pulling them. If the seeds are culled from the stem, sown by the full moon, then watered with a person's own urine, they can manifest an oat nymph bound to the person who fertilized the seeds.
